Kulturwiesen

"The most beautiful open-air hall in Münsterland" and "the best lightshow a musician could wish for" are just two of the most defining quotes from three years of Kulturwiesen at the Schulze Wettendorf farm in Everswinkel-Alverskirchen. From August 17 to September 3, the open air festival will enter its fourth edition.
To the prelude Storno strike red-hot and leave no eye dry: Harald Funke, Thomas Philipzen and Jochen Rüther make the tears of laughter flow with intelligent satire in "Die Inventur". Storno's concentrate of clever analysis, original interplay and live music at an impressive level gives the trio a special position on German stages, including the Kulturwiesen, where they will be playing to a sold-out "house" on six evenings.
When it comes to authentic American roots rock & country blues, the Münster guitarist and singer Phil Seeboth is first choice. A casually grooving band, singing slide licks and a gripping voice will take the listener Down South to the Southern States on August 19.
"I come more often now!" was the program with which Lisa Feller made her first guest appearance at the Kulturwiesen two years ago. To the great joy of her fans, she comes with her new program "Dirty Talk", and that shows Lisa Feller at her best on August 20: funny and likeable as always, but cheeky and fresh as never before!
Summer, sun, swing music - with their new program "Tag am Meer" (Day by the Sea), the Zucchini Sistaz promise an entertaining concert trip to the coast on August 26. With siren-like sentence singing the three sunny minds row far out into the tides of the entertainment music. Elegantly and refreshingly, the exceptional ladies of the German jazz beat dive for one or the other musical pearl, fish in the green of music history and lift sunken shellac treasures.
Jan Löchel & friends will embark on a "sensual journey" on August 27. The singer-songwriter is above all one thing: a storyteller. His guitar and a microphone, he does not need much more to take his audience on a sensual journey. Jan Loechel tells in his lyrics about personal experiences and encounters, authentic, passionate and with irrepressible joy to share them with his audience.
"Drive to hell baby!" is the brand-new program of Herbert Knebel's Affentheater, with which Germany's sprightliest band of pensioners will delight its audience on September 2 with devilishly good ideas, hellishly hot rhythms and angelic choirs.
For enthusiasm to the finale on Sunday, 3 September, provide with absolute security ebenfalle Thomas Philipzen & guests. It became already a small culture meadows - tradition: Thomas Philipzen always invites wonderful colleagues from very different genres. Sometimes it seems at the beginning of the evening that Philipzen himself does not know exactly who will appear, and certainly not what will happen on stage. For surprises are deliberately not avoided. And so with "Thomas Philipzen & Gäste" newcomers stood next to award-winning cabaret artists such as Sarah Hakenberg or TV presenter Guido Cantz on the Kulturwiesen stage. And together they dig into the mess of modern society, improvise and make music. An evening full of weird stories and songs: versatile, guaranteed uncensored and full of musical encounters between the artists. And always according to the motto: "the times are getting crazier, " time to laugh back!"
For the perfect summer evening, the Kulturwiesen team has delicious food and well-tempered drinks ready. These may be enjoyed before and after the show, as well as during the breaks, at the seating areas or the various meeting points on the festival grounds. The fantastic location of the festival grounds ensures that every seat will be shaded by the trees by the time the show begins. The Kulturwiesen always open their entrance ninety minutes before the show starts. Tickets are available online via the festival's own ticket store at www.kulturwiesen.de.
